Protein supplement for swimmers

For swimmers with early squad sessions, Recov is a complete protein you can take with water on the pool deck. It carries all 20 amino acids, already broken down into di- and tri-peptides, with no shaker and nothing sitting heavy in your stomach before you get in.

Your whole bloodstream carries only 2–3g of amino acids at any moment. Six tablets of Recov deliver roughly that entire amount, already broken down into small peptides your body absorbs directly.

Common questions

How much protein do swimmers need?

The International Society of Sports Nutrition recommends 1.4–2.0 g of protein per kilogram of body weight a day for most people who exercise, spread across the day.

When should I take it?

On training days the chart is 2 tablets on waking, 4 before your session and 2 after, adding 4 before bed on heavier days. Heavier training blocks use the 12–18 a day range.

Will it sit heavy before a session?

It's tablets and water, with no shake, sweeteners or lactose, so there is no meal or big drink in your stomach when you dive in.

What's in it?

Pre-digested plasma protein with all 20 amino acids. Recov has no flavours, sweeteners or colours, so there is nothing to taste. Recov is made from porcine (pig) plasma protein, so it isn't suitable for vegans or vegetarians, for halal or kosher diets, or for anyone with a mammalian meat allergy.

What does it cost?

A 180-tablet bottle is $119.95 as a one-time order, or from $79.95 a bottle on Subscribe & save, which takes up to 33% off. Shipping is free Australia-wide on orders over $99, and you can pause or cancel a subscription anytime.
